Coppermaandag is van oorsprong een gildefeest (eerste maandag na Driekoningen). Met de gilden verdwe-nen ook de meeste gebruiken. Alleen de drukkers, grafici en typografen, hielden de Copperviering overeind. Van 1997 tot 2000 vierde het Grafisch Lyceum dit elk jaar met een bijzondere Koppermaandag penning.
